Meet the Founder
In 1970, Tommy Lee McCurry founded Okolona Fence Company along with his wife and partner Helen. Tommy had worked for several years for his father, Ken McCurry, who owned Economy Fence Company. Originally, they operated the business from the rear property of their home in the Okolona area of Louisville, KY.
Tommy was committed to building and installing residential fences using only the best quality materials available with trained fencing professionals. He personally supervised all the installations to ensure customer satisfaction. The business continued to grow and prosper until the current location was built on Knopp Ave.
Today, Okolona Fence Company is recognized as one of the leaders in quality residential, commercial, and industrial fencing in the Kentuckiana area.
In 2008, Susan Underwood joined Tommy in the quest to continue the company's growth along with many devoted employees, including Mark Graff and Buddy Jones. Okolona continues to grow today with the motto of "We are not satisfied UNTIL the Customer is satisfied."
